Morgan Stanley hired Peter Santoro, former head of institutional markets at Citadel Investment Group LLC, as co-head of U.S. equities trading, according to an internal memorandum. He will run the group with Tony Lauto, Morgan Stanley said in the memo, the contents of which were confirmed by spokesman Mark Lake.
